An international network of empowered local change-makers driving our global food systems to the 21st century.

Yevul (יבול) is a word in Hebrew which stands for 'produce', 'crop' or in more general terms 'fruit'. It is also mentioned in the bible in the book of Psalms, chapter one: "And he shall be like a tree planted by streams of water, that bringeth forth its fruit in its season, and whose leaf doth not wither; and in whatsoever he doeth he shall prosper".

Early on, the first Israeli pioneers acknowledged that societies rely on food systems to withstand inevitable fluctuations in global trade and climate. With knowledge largely imported from Europe and under the pressure of geo-political turmoil, israelis, in a relatively short period of time, introduced significant developments which are being implemented worldwide.

Our mission is to synthesize agricultural know-how developed over decades of experience into a concise week-long curriculum dedicated exclusively to urban agriculture.

At Yevul Academy, we measure our success not in the mere traditional sense but by the extent to which our knowledge is being disseminated to local communities around the world.
